Dommuseum Hildesheim

Around the cathedral cloister, the museum shows the Hildesheim cathedral treasury, part of a UNESCO World Heritage site: liturgical vessels, reliquaries, vestments, books and sculptures spanning more than a thousand years. Highlights include the Romanesque Great Golden Madonna and, from Bishop Bernward's time, the Bernward Cross, the Bernward Gospels and the Ringelheim Cross. Baroque pieces are part of the collection too.
