Bergbaumuseum des Kreises Altenkirchen

Beneath the entrance of this museum lies a show mine that presents the working world of the miners. Inside, an interactive map locates the region's pits and ironworks, a mineral cabinet shows the Siegen strata, and the history of mining in the Siegerland is told in detail. Outside stand a headframe about 15 metres high and large pieces from the Charlottenhütte steelworks. School groups can go on a treasure hunt at an old spoil heap in the nearby woods.
