Bakelit-Museum Kierspe

Bakelite, the first fully synthetic industrially made plastic, was processed around Kierspe, and this museum in the Old Amtshaus tells that story. It shows products made from Bakelite, many drawn from a collection of some 5,000 pieces assembled by a local manufacturer. It is a good stop for anyone curious about everyday objects made from this early plastic.
