Automuseum Melle

In Melle, the halls of an old furniture factory hold a car museum spread over two exhibition floors. Visitors see vehicles from the earliest days of motoring up to more recent models and cars of historical interest, usually between 250 and 350 at a time. They are loans from private owners, who lend roadworthy cars for six months at most, so the line-up keeps changing. The museum opened in Ibbenbüren in 1984 and has occupied this listed factory building since 1997, run entirely by volunteers.
